BOUTIQUE BY CHOICE

Close to the businesses. Close to our investors.

We are a Coimbatore-based boutique investment firm. To us, boutique means direct access, focused portfolios and personal accountability. You can speak to the people making the decisions and understand the thinking behind your capital.

Our scale is supported by decades of market experience, technology-assisted research and a founder family invested alongside clients. The aim is depth of attention—in both the investments we study and the relationships we build.

THE PRINCIPLES BEHIND THE PORTFOLIO

Strong businesses. A considered price. A clear plan.

Experience shapes the questions we ask. Research tests the answers. Discipline determines how we act.

Understand the business

Earnings quality, cash flows, balance-sheet strength and management capability help us distinguish lasting opportunity from a compelling story.

Read the market

Technical signals and broader market conditions complement our fundamental work, informing entry, position sizing and exit decisions.

Respect uncertainty

Conviction comes with limits. We consider valuation, liquidity and concentration, and remain willing to change course when the evidence changes.

WHY BRING TWO LENSES TOGETHER?

A good business is the starting point. The investment needs more.

The opportunity depends on both what a company can become and what the market already expects from it.

FUNDAMENTALTECHNICALConviction

FUNDAMENTAL

What are we owning—and at what price?

We assess earnings, cash generation, competitive position and valuation. Business quality matters, but so does the price paid for it.

Is the business stronger than the expectations in its share price?

TECHNICAL

What is the market telling us?

Price behaviour, trends and market conditions add another perspective. They help us test our view and consider how to build, hold or reduce a position.

Does the market evidence support our conviction—or challenge it?

The lenses complement judgment; neither predicts outcomes with certainty. We seek better-informed decisions, rather than relying on one signal in isolation.

FROM PERSPECTIVE TO PORTFOLIO

Research widens the lens. Judgment makes the decision.

A disciplined process connects the bigger picture to the business—and the business to its place in the portfolio.

  1. 01

    Read the landscape

Assess economic conditions, policy, industry dynamics and the market environment.

  2. 02

    Study the business

Examine management, competitive advantages, financial quality and future earnings.

  3. 03

    Test the opportunity

Bring valuation and technical signals together to assess the potential reward and risk.

  4. 04

    Build. Review. Adapt.

Size positions, monitor the thesis and adjust as evidence and market conditions evolve.

Technology expands our reach. Experience keeps us grounded. AI-assisted research helps organise filings, earnings commentary and sector information. It supports the investment team’s work; accountability for investment decisions remains with people.

THE EXPERIENCE BEHIND THE DECISIONS

Some perspective can only be earned.

40+

YEARS OF FIRST-HAND MARKET EXPERIENCE

Jose C. Abraham

Founder & Chief Investment Officer

An investor since 1985, our CIO has navigated major market booms, corrections and recoveries. That experience informs how we evaluate conviction, calibrate risk and stay measured when markets are anything but.

A perspective shaped across cycles

199220002008201320201985Today
1992

Harshad Mehta crisis

Look beyond the excitement. Scrutinise business quality, governance and the price being paid.

2000

The dot-com reset

A compelling theme still needs a valuation. Distinguish the long-term promise of an industry from what a share price already assumes.

2008

Global Financial Crisis

Resilience belongs in the research. Consider leverage, cash flows and liquidity alongside the growth case.

2013

Taper tantrum

Context can change the risk. Look at interest rates, capital flows and currency pressures alongside company fundamentals.

2020

The pandemic shock

Stay measured when uncertainty rises. Revisit the evidence, assess the risks and separate temporary disruption from lasting impairment.

Illustrative investment principles, rather than claims about historic portfolio actions or returns.

A LITTLE MORE CLARITY

Questions worth asking.

How are the two approaches different?

Multicap Value Fund focuses primarily on Indian equities using a techno-fundamental core–satellite approach. Quant Alpha uses quantitative models to allocate across multiple asset classes. The right fit depends on your objectives, investment horizon and willingness to accept risk.

What does techno-fundamental investing mean?

We use fundamental research to assess the business and its value, and technical analysis to add perspective on price behaviour and market conditions. The two inform portfolio decisions together.

Where can I find the latest factsheets?

Factsheets are linked beneath each approach on our Approaches page. Each one sets out the approach, dated portfolio information, performance and applicable disclosures. You can also ask our PMS team for the latest version.

How can I understand fees and onboarding terms?

Speak to the PMS team for the applicable fee options, complete charges, withdrawal terms and documentation. Review these alongside the latest disclosure document before deciding to invest. Direct onboarding is available.
